Star Wars Uncut: Director’s Cut

Breathtaking to see an entire community of amateurs and pro’s alike throw their back into rebuilding one of the great American film classics. For more on the process used to crowd source, click here.

I hate to think of all the money, lasers and inked needles you’d need to bust out every time a friend changes their Facebook profile picture.

Volkswagen

The Fun Theory

Posted on February 24, 2011 by

Now that the contest has finally ended, here’s some of the recaps including the winners of “The Fun Theory“, the name for Volkswagen’s somewhat recent crowdsourcing campaign. ReMade: The Rebirth of the Maker Movement (1st Trailer) from Electromagnate on Vimeo.

Yet another cool kickstarter project and looks like a great demographic to focus on.

“We are currently filming a documentary that explores the state and direction of the Maker and Hackerspace movement in America. We’re visiting hackerspaces and makerspaces across the nation in an attempt to show the incredible innovation, creativity, struggles and triumphs that exemplify these spaces. Our goal is to help everyone understand what hackerspaces and makerspaces are doing, how they are doing it and how the Maker Movement is changing the world.”
