Don’t ever complain that it is too hard to do the things you love.

Bringing the Molehill API to Flash seems to have really kicked things up a notch with regards to fluid interactive 3D with immersive environments and reflection mapping.
HTML 5 Authoring from Adobe
Posted on October 27, 2010 by Matt Weier
My biggest gripes against HTML5 are its lack of consistent rendering on browsers (aka none on IE 8 and earlier) and its lack of simple, intuitive authoring tools that go beyond mere code editors. Adobe (and Macromedia) had largely solved these problems with Flash, but given the future of the web as it evolves to mobile and set-top devices, it’s clear Adobe needs to embrace the more open HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript standards by the time browsers do or Flash will be shelved more often than not.
Thankfully it’s clear they’re already thinking about this and while I would love for Flash to simply add HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript output options, they’ve begun development in a prototype of what they’re calling “Edge”. Whether this stays a separate tool or merges with Flash will remain to be seen.

Montages are as cliche as it comes when you need to show the long hard process of self-improvement without any of the actual time required. After seeing the piece above, I realized maybe I’m wrong. There’s ways to make something as cliche as a montage your own.

While it’s no doubt just another post-effect gimmick, you can’t argue that tilt-shift “miniaturization” effects are fun to play with to achieve extreme selective focus. Photoshop would give you way more control, yet TiltShiftMaker has a handy little tool to let you play with effects on any photo without requiring any expensive software or major fine tuning.
What’s more inspiring than a sports montage? 40 inspirational speeches cut into a single ueber-inspirational speech.
