“I never want to say the word ‘I Should have’. If I do it and I fail, I tried. If I do it and I succeed, better for me. And I told my children the same thing. Never go through life saying you should have. If you want to do something, you do it.”

Balanced Anarchy

“Values change everytime the universe changes and that’s everytime we redefine a big enough bit of it, and that’s all the time.”

James Burke gives hope on the future of humanity if technology (e.g. the internet) can democratize education and help people understand and accept that everyone on the planet sees the world in their own way. Taken from his show “Connections”.

ReMade: The Rebirth of the Maker Movement

ReMade: The Rebirth of the Maker Movement (1st Trailer) from Electromagnate on Vimeo.

Yet another cool kickstarter project and looks like a great demographic to focus on.

“We are currently filming a documentary that explores the state and direction of the Maker and Hackerspace movement in America. We’re visiting hackerspaces and makerspaces across the nation in an attempt to show the incredible innovation, creativity, struggles and triumphs that exemplify these spaces. Our goal is to help everyone understand what hackerspaces and makerspaces are doing, how they are doing it and how the Maker Movement is changing the world.”

“Babies” Documentary Trailer

Posted on October 19, 2010 by

Perhaps you’ve already seen this documentary. If not, check it out — it’s already on Netflix OnDemand. Babies is overflowing with gorgeous cinematography from 4 corners of the world. What I liked best is that it really captures what makes us alike as humans while at the same time pointing out just how different we are.

It’s also one of the only documentaries that I’ve ever seen which makes its point completely and effectively without the use of any dialog or VO narration.
